Meatal Ulcer - Craniopagus Parasiticus 2012-2012 (2012)

Meatal Ulcer is a one-man goregrind project from Melbourne, Australia. Formed in 2012 by Leo Witcroft (who is also the bassist of the Australian goregrind outfit, Die Pigeon Die), the sound is undoubtedly in the old-school vein but has a unique sense chaos to it that to me falls somewhere near gorenoise styling. It's a little hard to make any sonic comparisons or sight any clear references, but rest assure this is some of the finest dingy and chaotic lo-fi basement goregrind. Keep your eye on this project though, I can only see it getting progressively more pulverizing from here. Craniopagus Parasiticus is a compilation tape collecting MxUx content from various past releases.

Meatal Ulcer is a one-man goregrind project from Melbourne, Australia. Formed in 2012, the sound is an old-school yet heavily noisy one. Clear influences coming from classic European goregrind but through a filter of early Gore Beyond Necropsy style recording quality. Anyway, this is dingy and chaotic lo-fi basement goregrind at it's finest. The only complaints I could find would be with the riffs sometimes being impossibly indecipherable at times and the drum programming being a little too high in the mix though. Keep your eye on this project though, I can only see it getting progressively more pulverizing from here.

Vomitorial Corpulence - Skin Stripper (2002)

Vomitorial Corpulence is a goregrind band from Melbourne, Australia. They were one of the few existent goregrind bands out there whose lyrics and themes exclusively centered on christianity. Quite a strange and unfitting mix if you ask me - even though the band argues otherwise on their website - but lyrics aside, unless of course you're down with jesus, VxCx plays some absolutely relenting and vicious old-style goregrind. There's almost a strange violent bounciness to their noise, maybe because of the excessive d-beating and crusty parts - although there's no shortage of savage blasting either. Even though VxCx takes much obvious influence from the classics, like Dead Infection, Regurgitate, Haemorrhage, Necrony or even Impetigo, they've really got a unique and heavily punk influenced sound all their own that is quite phenomenal. Skin Stripper was the first full-length CD the band put out.

Headless Death - Demo (2011)

Headless Death is a deathgrind band from Melbourne, Australia. They're definitely recognizable as playing in the old-style of the genre, although taking influence from the likes of seemingly opposite scenes - like Repulsion or Impetigo, to Assück or Discordance Axis - as well as a handful of classic pulverizing death metal. But these aussies undoubtedly bring forth their own unique flavor of intensity, mixing everything together with nice combination of new meets old and baring obvious similarities to the aussie grind scene as a whole. Some very crushing yet eerie and dark tones here, be sure to keep an eye out for this band. Here is their release ever, a self-released demo depicting their name's sake.

Hypo-Christians, Viscera & Pissed Cunt - 3-Way Split CD-R

Hypo-Christians are a goregrind band from Clute, Texas, USA; Viscera are a goregrind band from Modbury, Australia; Pissed Cunt are a noisecore band from Ostrava, Czech Republic. This split is full of noisy, lo-fi, heavy and pitch shifted goodness. Sorry I have very little info on the release other than that it rules, but I believe it was self-released by all three bands, appears to be a CD-R and no idea of the year it released.

Bowel Fetus & Biocyst - Split CD-R (2008)

Bowel Fetus is a goregrind band from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and Biocyst is a one-man gorenoise band from the Netherlands. Other than goregrind, Bowel Fetus play an interesting and very well done mixture of sludge and old-school death metal; the end result is somewhat similar to Bile / Skullhog but they've definitely got a sound of their own and I personally may even prefer it. For those that don't know, Biocyst is one of the many gore-soaked projects of the Dutch, Marc Palmen, whose played in Last Days Of Humanity, Faces Of Gore, Urine Festival, Fece-Vomitatie and who also runs two record labels: Through The Eyes Of The Hated Records and Klysma Records. His project Biocyst is straight-up ear torturing brutality; no breaks, no filler, just a pile of unrelenting, noisy as fuck and drum-machine driven goregrind.

Arseholocaust - Demo (2011)

Arseholocaust is a 3-piece political crustgrind band from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. They play in the vein of bands like Extreme Noise Terror, Disrupt, Dropdead, etc. This first demo by the band is enjoyable, although honestly not the most exciting stuff of the genre, however, I suspect these guys will get far more intensive as they continue on!
