This is some of the finest noise of it's kind in the sub-sub-genre these days; an extremely tight, vomitous, horrifying, brutal, pus-ridden slab of carnage. Main influences coming from Last Days Of Humanity, Anal Birth, Biocyst, Urine Festival or even the almighty Dysmenorrheic Hemorrhage. Ioannis - the maniac behind this project - was also behind the following: Nx5, Active Stenosis, Hydropsy, etc. Here is the first full-length for the project.

Shitbags Patriots - This Is Who We Are (2012)

Shitbag Patriots is a one-man grindviolence project from Athens, Greece. Started as a side-project of Nick from Streptococcus Pyogenes, the sound is comprised of a variety of styles such as from old-school grindcore / mincecore, fastcore, powerviolence and crust. Fast, catchy, spastic, raw grinding pissed trade-off vocals with political lyrical themes. Influences include the likes of Denak, Hellnation, Dropdead, Ulcerrhoea, Fuck On The Beach, Parlamentarisk Sodomi, etc. This is the first demo of the project and was self-released by Nick himself.

Dissected & Pulmonary Fibrosis - Split CD-R (2003)

Dissected is a goregrind band from Athens, Attica, Greece and Pulmonary Fibrosis is a legendary goregrind band from Yzeures-sur-Creuse, Centre, France. Dissected completely sucks and sounds like a washing machine, I don't usually say that about a band but this is an exception - they are just horrible. Pulmonary Fibrosis plays incredibly authentic old-school pathological goregrind in the vein of Dead Infection, Regurgitate, Last Days Of Humanity, Ulcerous Phlegm, Pathologist, Necrony, Malignant Tumour, etc. The split was released by the Greek label, Deathforce Records.

Nx5 - Intrapulmonary Decay (2012)

Nx5 is a one-man goregrind band from Thessaloníki, Greece. Formed in 2006 and ended in 2009, Nx5 had a handful of split and E.P. releases that were circulated through the underground gore scene. Sonically, influences draw not only from traditional goregrind but also from cybergore and gorenoise to create a really dense barrage of noisy pathological gore madness. The main influences, however, seem to be mostly bands like Last Days Of Humanity, Dysmenorrheic Hemorrhage, Tumour, Bacteriophagia Urine Festival, etc. Giannis, the mastermind behind this project, has since gone on to form a similar destructive outfit called Menometrorrhagia which more or less heads down the same path of Nx5. Intrapulmonary Decay was the final and, in my opinion, the strongest release of Nx5.

Meatus is a goregrind band from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; Streptococcus Pyogenes is a pathological goregrind one-man band from Athens, Greece; Human Jerky is a goregrind two-piece band from St-Jean Sur Richelieu, Quebec, Canada. Absolutely amazing tape; three noisy, disgusting, filthy, chaotic, old-school pathological goregrind bands who all take major influence by punk and are some of the greatest in the current scene. And as is accurately titled this tape: noisy goregrind still exists, fuck you! The split was release by the Canadian, Aggressive Valley Tapes (who is run by Joe of Meatus) and Stick Your Nose In A Garbage Bag Full Of Medical Waste Records from Greece (who is run by Nick of Streptococcus Pyogenes).

Streptococcus Pyogenes & Infester - Split Tape (2010)

 

Streptococcus Pyogenes is from Athens, Greece and Infester is from Arkansas, USA. Both are one-man bands and both play pathological goregrind. Major influences and musical comparisons are more or less the same between the two; classic goregrind masters like Carcass, Dead Infection, Regurgitate, Last Days Of Humanity, Necrony, Pathologist, Ulcerous Phlegm, etc. Newer goregrind bands that come to mind in terms of influences and similarities would Autophagia, Dysmenorrheic Hemorrhage, Feculent Goretomb, Lymphatic Phlegm, Oxidised Razor, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Scatologic Madness Possession, Mixomatosis, etc.

The only significant differences between these bands is that SxPx takes considerably more influence from crust / hardcore punk, while Infester takes a little bit more of a death metal tone to their noise. Absolutely disgusting, pulverizing, noisy, crusty, filthy, chaotic, vomitous old-school goregrind delivered from both bands wo are undoubtedly some of the best in the current scene and surely, of all time! This split was released by Nick from Streptococcus Pyogenes with very limited numbers and has been sold out for some time.

Cut Your Throat is a grindcore / mincecore band from Thessalonica, Greece. Formed in 2003, the band plays straight-ahead, crushing, aggressive and no bullshit mincing grind with plenty of crust / hardcore influence. Main influences and musical comparisons include Agathocles, Rot, Unholy Grave, Dahmer, Carcass Grinder, Mesrine, Denak, Archagathus, Sakatat, etc. One of the few mincing Greek bands, to my knowledge and they play the genre exceptionally well. Here is the first full-length record, which was self-released by the band themselves in 2006 and was not long ago made available for free download on their official website.

Mutilated Ear-Drum is a one-man gorenoise band; Melanocetus Murrayi is a noisecore band; Gore Galore is a goregrind band; Decomposing Vomit is a noisecore. All bands are Greek but unfortunately, I have no idea of their specific locations. Fantastic harsh and putrid noises; a perfect sample of just some of anti-music extravaganzas occurring in the Greek scene. The split was released by the infamous Greek label, Septic Aroma Of Reeking Stench whom is operated by one of the members in Melanocetus Murrayi.

Streptococcus Pyogenes is a one-man pathological goregrind band from Athens, Greece; Birth is a goregrind band from St. Paul, Minnesota, USA; Hyperemesis is a one-man pathological goregrind band from Vancouver, B.C., Canada; Active Stenosis is a one-man pathological goregrind band from Thess / Niki, Greece (previously from Russia). All of the greatest punk-infused goregrind in the current scene with many fantastic covers of classic bands but the only complaint with this one is that it's too short. The split was self-released on CD-R by Nick from Streptococcus Pyogenes in 2012.

Blasted Pancreas - Carcinoma (2011)

Blasted Pancreas is a pathological goregrind band from Hellas, Greece. Essentially, they play a very well done Lymphatic Phlegm worship; more dark, eerie and almost melodic sounding than noisy filth. So really, there's not a whole lot else to say; if you are a fan of Lymphatic Phlegm you will definitely like Blasted Pancreas. Carcinoma was the first full-length of the band.
