Agitate & Minimum Wadge Assassins - East Coast Tour 2012

Agitate are a wrestling / weed inspired 2-piece mincegrind band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA and Minimum Wadge Assassins are a fastcore / mincegrind band from Dekalb, Illinois, USA. Both bands are; insanely heavy, packed to the brim with heartfelt antics, 100% mincetasticly approved and whom I believe are both embarking on tour for the first time ever. Some of these dates were supposed - and I think some still are - apart of that Six Brew Bantha / Agitate / Lt. Dan tour but with Six Brew Bantha's van issues, shit may have gotten a little reorganized. Anyway, please do yourself a favor; come out to one of these shows in a humble bearded man's lovely basement, have a blast and support your local DIY grinders.

Exogorth - Demo (2009)

Exogorth is a mincegrind band from Seattle, Washington. They write almost exclusively about sci-fi, weed and Star Wars and as such, took their name from some weird shark / whale Star Wars creature who I've never even heard of up until now. Both musically and lyrically, Exogorth is definitely identifiable as belonging to the recent American mince contingent of bands, such as Lt. Dan, Pizza Hi-Five, Misanthropic Noise, Agitate, etc. This first CD-R demo of the band is pretty spastic, hyper and bizarre sounding - which, although a bit untraditional for mince, is quite refreshing - and they're still raging as fuck. Exogorth will definitely a band to keep your eye on if you appreciate mince and weirdness.

Accidental Homicide - Axe-A-Dental (2012)

Accidental Homicide is a mincegrind band from Lima, Ohio. They're playing some straightforward goofy and fucking heavy mince, and presumably comprise members of Lima grindcore saviors, Pizza Hi-Five. Axe-A-Dental is their first demo tape ever, not sure if there's any physical copies left but you can digitally buy the demo as well from their bandcamp page that I linked above if you're feeling generous.

Misanthropic Noise & Gowl - August Tour 2012

Misanthropic Noise is a crusty and absolutely devastating grindcore / mincecore band from Hartford, Connecticut / Oakland, California, USA and Gowl is a noisy and pissed off grindcore / mincecore band from Tolland, Connecticut, USA. This will not be the first tour for Misanthropic Noise nor Gowl, however this is probably one of the best tour pairings in the States that I've seen in a while; both bands present utter audible savagery and will leave you as a corpse with incredibly bad tinnitus after they play your lame-ass town.

Ptychozoon - Reptilian

Ptychozoon is a bizarre mincegrind / powerviolence from Bear, Delaware, USA. If you haven't picked up on it already, the lyrical content is exclusively focused on our lovely friends, reptiles - and apparently, a "Ptychozoon is a genus of arboreal gecko from Southeast Asia, known as Flying Geckos or Parachute Geckos". Maybe the habits of reptiles are a metphor for some larger socio-political signifigance? I highly doubt it and would say it's more probably that these guys just spend their Saturdays smoking weed while watching horrible Godzilla ripoff movies. Nonetheless, this first demo contains some really unique and intensive grindviolence, so try this out if you're feeling adventurous or if you happen to be a National Geographic-obsessed grinder.

Total Hipster Crusher - Spring / Summer Tour 2012

Total Hipster Crusher is a mincegrind band from Flowerville, Michigan, USA. They'll be doing - what I believe is - their first ever tour, which extends through both the states and Canada. I'm personally extremely excited about this - as should you be, if they're playing in your town - as they fucking rule and I'll actually be seeing them on June 1st. Anyway, the tour starts May 20th and ends on June 3rd. PLEASE make sure you make it out to one of the gigs and support these lovable DIY grinding nerds. Here are the dates:

Agitate - Grind Enlightenment (2011)

Agitate is a two-piece mincecore band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. I'm not sure exactly when they formed but definitely quite recently, maybe even within the year 2011. Musically and probably lyrically, these guys are totally recognizable as being part of the recent pulverizing, crusty, even fastcore-leaning mincing wave of bands that's been coming out of the states; more 'known' bands like Misanthropic Noise, Lt. Dan, Pizza Hi-Five and the like may ring a bell. But I feel that this band is doing something a little different from that scene, I can't quite put my finger on it but it's fucking rad. A slab of excellent stupidly fast as shit fun right here and with lyrics revolving mainly around sci-fi, weed and American stereotypes, there's not much else to say other than you've reached the pinochle of grinding idiocy (I mean that in the best way possible). Here's - what I think is? - their first release, 'Grind Enlightenment' - a self-released demo CD.
