Thanatopsis is a two-piece pathological goregrind band from one member from Brazil and one from Sweden, and Vomitoma is a one-man gorenoise band from Byesville, Ohio, USA. Thanatopsis plays in the vein of and take major influence from classics, like Carcass, Dead Infection, Haemorrhage, Last Day Of Humanity, Regurgitate, Pathologist, Necrony or Ulcerous Phlegm, as well as from newer bands like Autophagia, Feculent Goretomb, Dysmenorrheic Hemorrhage, Lymphatic Phlegm, Pulmonary Fibrosis, etc. Short and to-the-point songs, very chaotic, messy, crusty, disgusting, noisy and pulverizing; all the key ingredients that make them exceptionally authentic of the early goregrind days. Vomitoma plays messy, noisy, disgusting, and thick drum and bass gorenoise; comparable to bands like Anal Birth, Biocyst, Urine Festival, HxAxSx, etc. The split was released by the infamous Brazilian goregrind label, Rotten Foetus Records.
