Take One For The Team are a thrashcore band from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. They've been active since the early 2000s and have done some considerable gigging within Canada during that time, so if you've been here and into to moderately cool shit in the last 10 years, you probably know - or know of - their existence. As I already mentioned, the style is in the thrashcore vein - think stuff like Lärm, What Happens Next?, Vöetsek - which is not totally dissimilar from grind in itself, but because the lineup is comprised of a couple grinders, it definitely reflects a little in the music. The lyrics follow with the usual really really stupid and funny approach, so stay away from this unless you wear water-wings and put things up your nose on a daily basis.
I think they've actually broken up but check out neat side-projects that they continue to play in: Harsh Supplement, Critical Convictions, Dirty Methods and Have At It! to name a few, there might be a lot more I'm missing. Their bassist / vocalist, Richard, runs
